Couple is usually the most hotly contested category
in the KryptonSite Awards. This year, 11,106
people sent in their votes, and the winner for
2007, with 3,491 or 31%, is... Clark
& Lana.
Sure,
Lana spent most of the year with Baldy McBalderson,
but once she learned the truth about Clark,
things started to swing back his way. They finally
talked about their feelings in the season finale,
and then Lana had to go and get blown up! Oops.
The
Clana "ship" is very controversial.
Fans of the coupling will donate to charities
with the goal of spreading the word about Clana.
On the flip side, some people would blame Clana
for the decline of viewership as Season 6 progressed.
Either way, its supporters mobilized, and it's
obvious that Clark & Lana is a popular pair
to a large amount of the Smallville fan
population.
Coming
in second place, with 2,766 votes, is the destined
Clark & Lois pairing. "Clois"
beat the third-place winner, Clark & Chloe,
by only five votes.
And
before anyone screams "Unfair!" be
reminded that only one vote per IP was voted
here. So this is an accurate count.
