v on abc laura vandervoortLaura Vandervoort as Kara was one of the most highly-publicized additions to the cast of Smallville for Season 7; unfortunately, her character disappeared to the Phantom Zone by season's end. An episode in Season 8, "Bloodline," wrapped up her storyline but left the door open for a return in the future.

Born in Canada in 1984, Vandervoort's most major role before Smallville was on the Canadian series Instant Star.

Laura can now be seen as a very different alien on ABC's new interpretation of the science fiction classic V.
