Smallville
DVD
You won't see this in stores in the United States but you
CAN order it through Videoflicks.com.
The DVD includes deleted scenes, a map of Smallville, and, oh yeah, what
sounds like the Smallville pilot and "Metamorphosis."
The DVD also includes commentary from executive producers Alfred Gough
and Miles Millar and pilot director David Nutter. What are you waiting
for? Order
a copy! (Cover art above may not be the actual cover art for the DVD)
Superman
For All Seasons
Smallville explores the story of
a young Clark Kent and his place in the world on television. In the comics,
this was very well illustrated in Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale's "Superman For
All Seasons." This has been labeled a "must read" by many fans and also
listed as the favorite Superman story of recent years by many. Check it
out!
Superman:
Peace on Earth
Were you impressed by Alex Ross's recent TV Guide covers
featuring Smallville? Thought so. In 1998, Ross painted the oversized
Superman:
Peace on Earth graphic novel which is written by Paul Dini of Batman:
The Animated Series fame. Every page is worth framing. Ross
also painted similar books for Batman,
Wonder
Woman, and Captain
Marvel.

R.I.P.
"Principal Kwan"
(5/13)
As those of you who saw the May 7th episode of Smallville
are quite aware, the halls of Smallville High are going to
be missing one of its regular and smoothest characters of
all. We of course are referring to Principal Kwan,
played by Hiro Kanagawa in a handful of episodes of
the series.
KryptonSite
was able to catch up with the quite-alive Mr. Kanagawa and
asked him how he felt about his character's demise. Here's
what he had to say:
Dear
Craig,
There must be a universal law that I have to die a horrible
death on every show that I'm on. I accept this as my life.
Anyway, it could have been a lot worse--I'm happy to have
survived the killer bee episode!
Best regards to all,
Hiro Kanagawa
May
the next principal of Smallville High be even half as smooth,
and may the next principal have better luck than to be run
over by a telekinetic boy with a speech impediment.

Tom
Welling Misses Live With Regis And Kelly
(5/13)
Tom Welling was scheduled for this morning's Live
With Regis And Kelly but as it is rumored, a missed flight
prevented his appearance. Regis and Kelly do intend to have
Tom on their show again sometime soon. Apologies to any of you
who sat through an hour of Regis and didn't get your Smallville
fix!

LuthorCorp
Intranet: There Is A Way In!
(5/8)
The Intranet site at Luthorcorp.net
finally seems to work!!! Click on the "intranet"
tab and then "login," of course. Your username is
"Lex" and as for the password... well, speculate
on that on the KryptonSite
message board. As always we want to keep this fun for
everybody, so we're not posting it here!
Part
3 of Lionel Luthor's address to the stockholders of LuthorCorp
in the "annual report" is also now appearing at
Luthorcorp.net.
It features original video starring John Glover in
the role as the Magnificent You-Know-What.
To
get there, you go to Luthorcorp,
visit the "investor center" and click on "annual
report." We hear the third password is the most difficult
to figure out, but if you do manage to figure it out, post
about it on the KryptonSite
message board. Good luck!

Smallville
Executive Producer Gets The Television Without Pity Treatment
(5/6)
Smallville executive producer Alfred Gough was
recently interviewed by Television
Without Pity's Omar G, and answered many questions and
dropped some hints about the show's future and more.
Do
the producers know about Victoria's nickname? What's in store
for next year? Red Kryptonite maybe? And how much sexual tension
is there, really, between certain characters? Gough talks
about it all at the TWOP
interview. While you're there check out some of the episode
recaps, but be aware that the recaps aren't for all ages (but
they are very, very funny and clever!)

Episodes For Season Two, Plus Other Tidbits Revealed
(5/6)
The Superman
Homepage recently interviewed Smallville executive
producer Alfred Gough, where (among other things!)
he revealed that the second season of Smallville will
contain twenty-three episodes (two more than the total for
the first season!).
Best
of all, Gough reveals that we will be seeing more of the much-liked
Pete Ross (Sam Jones III) and Martha Kent (Annette
O'Toole) next year.
Mr.
Gough also mentioned KryptonSite in the interview which is
always a good thing. To read the complete interview, click
here. Thanks to Steve at the Superman Homepage for passing
this along!

Spider-Man
Webs Up The Box Office
(5/6)
Sony's Spider-Man movie broke several records
this weekend with a box-office total of approximately $114
million. For those of you who enjoy the "young teen hero"
dynamic of Smallville, you will definitely not leave disappointed.
This
could also be good news for Smallville executive producers
Al Gough and Miles Millar, who have been chosen
to write the Spider-Man movie sequel. It also may mean
some more of our favorite heroes will soon be on the big screen.
What
did you think of Spider-Man? Talk about it on the KryptonSite
message board!

Kristin
Kreuk and Michael Rosenbaum In Starlog's Spider-Man
Special Magazine
(4/29)
Starlog magazine has recently released its "Spider-Man
and Other Comics Heroes" magazine, which features
interviews with Kristin Kreuk and Michael Rosenbaum.
Details
inside the magazine
include Kristin talking about the difference in schedules
between Edgemont
and Smallville, and Michael talks about his future
and one particular Smallville
episode that he really liked.
The
magazine has a hefty price tag ($5.99 or $6.99) but still
has a lot of material that should be of interest to fans.
You can find it at newsstands everywhere. The magazine features
(of course!) Spider-Man on the cover.
