Coming early in 2003 in Smallville is sort of a sequel to this week's "Skinwalker" episode. The episode is called "Adrenaline," and picks up many plot threads that were hinted at in "Skinwalker."

"Skinwalker" Ratings!

Smallville's ABC challengers stepped up to the plate a little bit more than usual this week in the competitive-as-usual ratings race.

Despite being slightly in fifth place network-wise, "Skinwalker" did fantastically as far as demographics go. The show was the highest-rated show of the entire night in persons 12-34 (5.3/15), women 12-34 (5.1/14), men 12-34 (5.6/16), men 18-34 (5.8/16), teens (5.0/17) and male teens (5.1/17). Smallville was also #1 in its time period in adults 18-34 (5.5/15) and women 18-34 (5.2/14) and #2 in men 18-49 (4.4/11) and #3 in women 18-49 (4.1/10). The episode again set many demographics records for the WB.

Jeph Loeb's Next Episode!

Comic book favorite and "Red" writer Jeph Loeb pens another episode of Smallville with the episode "Insurgence" which will likely air in January or February.

The episode spends time in Metropolis -- a city Mr. Loeb should be very familiar with, as he recently finished a multi-year run on DC's Superman comic book series. (He's also going to be writing the Superman & Batman series still scheduled for next year).
