Big Smallville Feature In Entertainment Weekly
The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly (with Lara Croft on the cover) features a fantastic four-page article about the second-season success of Smallville.

Sandwiched between fantastic photos like the one to your right (click here to see it larger), the article interviews many people associated with the show and reveals new details. Among them:

* John Glover on Lionel Luthor: "I don't look at him as a villain. I see him as as a man who's trying to teach his son how to be successful.
* Allison Mack on Chloe: "She's in love with Clark, but she's constantly hurt by him, so it's one of those pathetic stories about a girl who never gets over a guy."
* Annette O'Toole on Martha's secret (hinted at in "Ryan"): "I've been calling the writers, saying 'Please tell me what the secret is', but I'm in the dark, too."
* Tom Welling on his action figure: "He looks a bit awkward. I grew up with G.I. Joes and He-Man, and they were big and strong. But Clark is awkward on the show."
* Sam Jones III on Pete knowing the secret: "The writers brought me in this summer and said, 'The fans are responding to you, and we're gonna let you know the secret.' To me, that was like a promotion."
* Kristin Kreuk on the show's first season: "The show had a lot of potential last year, and I felt frustrated because it wasn't reaching that potential. We'd have a few good episodes, and a chunk of bad episodes.
* The term "freak of the week" commonly used by fans has found its way onto the series' set.
* Executive Producer Alfred Gough on Chloe and Lana living together: "It's so interesting to have these two girls who care about the same guy, and they're trying to overcome that obstacle and be friends anyway."

The latest Entertainment Weekly should be at newsstands all this week.
