Al Gough Talks To TV Guide

SPOILER WARNING: If you do not want to know anything about the Season Finale episodes of Smallville, titled "Calling" and "Exodus," read no further!

Smallville executive producer Alfred Gough recently spoke with TV Guide Online about the "voice of Jor-El" that will be heard in the two finale episodes of Smallville, titled "Calling" and "Exodus."

"We got an actor who's certainly meaningful to Superman fans. I can't say who... he is from the Superman movies. It was our first [casting] choice, so we're happy about that," Gough said in an interview, which you can read here. He reveals that the voice is NOT Marlon Brando, who played Jor-El in the Superman movies. "Once you hear the voice, you'll know," he teases.

"Come, son of Bo Duke... kneel before Jor-El" (?)Fan speculation seems to most frequently suspect that the voice of Jor-El is either Gene Hackman, who played Lex Luthor in the films, or Terence Stamp, (seen to your right) who played "General Zod" in the first two Superman films. Fans who have seen the episode already claim that the lines of Jor-El's sound very much like Mr. Stamp, whose other credits include Star Wars: Episode One, The Limey and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

Gough also talked again about the possibilities of seeing folks like Lois Lane and Perry White on the series. To read the complete article, click here.

Guess we shall all know May 13 when the episode airs!
