Mack Talks Clark's Secret And More In Smallville
Magazine #9
Issue
#9 of Smallville Magazine is now hitting comic book stores.
The issue features two covers - the Diamond exclusive comic
book store edition features Erica Durance (Lois) and the newsstand
version features Erica with her "cousin" Allison Mack
(Chloe).
Inside
are new interviews with Erica and Allison, plus a new interview
with Peyton List (Lucy); part two of the "Inside the Writer's
Room" feature; new Ezra Small; an Erica Durance poster;
and more.
Here
are some highlights from Richard Matthews' interview with Allison
Mack:
On Clark
finding out that Chloe knows:
"I don't think he's going to find out before the end
of the season. I think he'll find out later - I think they'll
keep it a secret for a while, keep Clark on his toes."
On playing
things differently in "Spirit":
"Spell was a bit dangerous, wasn't it? It was loads
of fun, though. We don't have a whole lot of time on the show
to do a lot of character prep, but I came in with the idea that
I wanted to make my character like Suzanne Somers, you know
[from Three's Company], like a little silly and flouncy and
stuff like that, so that was my own addition to the character."
On Chloe
once actually being "Lois Lane":
"I know that at one point the fans were saying that
they thought Chloe was Lois and if you flip the name around
it spells Lois, or something like that, but absolutely Chloe
is inspiring Lois. I told Erica the other day - she didn't even
know - 'You know at one point I wrote under your name for the
Daily Planet'. She was like, 'No way! That's so cool!' All those
little details are so neat. And Lois' relationship to Clark
is completely different to Chloe's and I don't think there's
ever a threat of the two of them competing for him or anything
like that."
Also accompanying
the Chloe feature is an interview with Chloe Chronicles
creator Mark Warshaw. The interview reveals there are no plans
to do more Chronicles at this time.
