Michael Rosenbaum was born on July 11, 1972 in Oceanside, Long
Island, New York, and raised in Indiana. He first got the acting bug
doing high school plays and then did productions at Western Kentucky
University. He first got widespread notice as one of the "Amsterdam
Kids" on Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
Michael
enjoys ice hockey, and yes, he did shave his head for the role of
Lex Luthor. He has also been keeping quite busy -- in addition to
appearing as Lex in Smallville, Michael is doing several movies,
he is the voice of Wally West/The Flash in the Justice
League animated series.
The

Following Smallville's seventh season, Michael decided to depart Smallville and is said to have some movie projects in the works. We, of course, hope he'll be back before the end of the series. Michael, we miss you!
