Reviews "Memoria!"
The
website MediasharX.com
has now posted their review of this week's episode. Here's a
sample:
"It's
flashback city for Clark and the Luthors, making for some fascinating
revelations and a hell of an episode all around..."

The
New "Batman Begins" Costume!
Obviously
this has very little to do with Smallville, aside from
the DC Comics connection, but we couldn't resist... check
out the costume from "Batman Begins," which
has been revealed in this week's Entertainment Weekly
magazine.
Hey,
just because we don't like the movie division's Superman plans
doesn't mean we don't think Christian Bale as Batman is a good
idea! :-)
Update:
There are now more pictures at the
Warner Bros. Batman Begins site.

What
Was That Song?
One
of many elements of "Memoria" that generated a good
amount of buzz is the song played at the very end of the episode,
during the final scene with Clark and Martha.
The
song is called "My Immortal," and it's performed by
Evanescence. You can order their CD on Amazon (and support K-Site)
by clicking
here. One can only hope that if there's another Smallville
soundtrack, this song will be on it.
We're
sorry we've gotten a little behind with the music
here at K-Site... look for that to be rectified soon.

"Memoria" Reviews At KryptonSite!
This
week, we've got not one, but two reviews of this week's episode
to share with you.
First
we've got Hope's weekly
review where she talks about the episode and why it is the
kind of story that shows that Smallville is actually
about being human; and then, Tigress35 hops in with her technical
review of the episode, taking a look at the various things
that went into this episode.
Both
of course are fun reads. Click on the links below for more:

John
Schneider Article At Zap2It
Special thanks to: Dee and Frank
Zap2It.com
has posted an article about John Schneider and his upcoming
Smallville directorial debut in the May 5 episode, "Talisman."
Inside the article are some fun quotes, and even some snarking
from Kristin Kreuk about all the pink Lana wears!
Click
here for the article, and visit the KryptonSite
Spoilers Page for some of the snarky details. The article
is a lot of fun and one of the most entertaining views into
the world of Smallville yet - if only to hear about Schneider
calling a certain cast member "Rosenclown."
Interesting
trivia: John Schneider's directorial debut was for the Dukes
of Hazzard episode "Opening Night At The Boar's Nest"...
which also happened to be the final episode of the seres.
|
Another
"Talisman" Guest Revealed!
Another
possibly-familiar face you will see on the May 5 episode of
Smallville is Teryl Rothery, who has appeared
for several years on Stargate SG-1 as "Dr. Janet
Fraiser." She's also appeared in MANY other movies and
television series and has done a wealth of voice acting work.
She
plays a character in the episode who may make Lana meet her
match.

Hey,
Did "Jack Cole" Look Familiar?
Special thanks to: LaT
If
the guy who played LuthorCorp employee "Jack Cole"
in the opening minutes looked familiar, there's a reason for
that.
The
actor's name is Eric Keenleyside. He also appeared in
Smallville as "Mike the bartender" in "Suspect;"
but his most important past role was as the original Gabe Sullivan
in a deleted scene from the Smallville pilot (which you
can find on the Season
1 DVD).
Now
if only The Powers That Be would bring the real Gabe Sullivan
(Robert Wisden) back! We miss him!

Alex
Ross Paints Tom Welling As Superman
Source: Superhero
Hype
Alex
Ross, who once did four TV Guide covers featuring
Smallville and is also responsible for such graphic novel
masterpieces as Kingdom Come and Marvels, decided
to paint his interpretation of Superman if Tom Welling were
to take the role in a movie.
These
drawings were not done for the studio; Ross made them on his
own to see how Tom would look in the role.
If
they really were to do a movie with Tom Welling in 2007? We'd
be there.
You
can see the image much larger at Superhero
Hype, where Ross's initial sketch can be found too. Thanks
to everyone who e-mailed in about this news! (There were over

The
WB Officially Renews Smallville For Season Four
Good news... the WB has officially renewed Smallville
for the 2004-2005 season. The WB has also ordered a new season
of Everwood.
WB
co-chairman Jordan Levin noted that Smallville has followed
in the footsteps of some previous Frog hours by "returning
significant value to our studio partners. Its recent robust
off-net sale to ABC Family and HD-Net of over three-quarters
of a million dollars (per episode) came in a marketplace that
has not been kind to many new entrants." It was also noted
that Smallville is still the WB's top show in the many
target demographics.
While
this should come as no big surprise to fans, the WB had not
yet made any official announcement about Smallville's
future before today.
