Despite some good direction from Allison Mack, "Power" unfortunately regressed all of the progress that Season 8 had made and turned the show into Lana Fu: The Legend Continues.
This episode turned Lana away from being "the girl left behind" and made her into "the girl who stole herself some powers to catch up to Clark." A rooftop kiss at the end of the episode sealed the deal for those not down with "Clana." At least the flying phoenix-looking effect was cool.
So, even though this episode didn't, say, have a "fight you've been waiting for" that was only three minutes long or reveal that we've been watching Henry James Olsen, it still took the cake for Worst Episode with 24% of the vote.
Coming in second place at 1328 votes was "Stiletto," and third place dishonors (1174 votes) go to "Doomsday" - the first time a season finale ended up being so unpopular.
