Smallville Comic Book Coming To Trade Paperback
DC Comics has announced that the Smallville one-shot comic in addition to the comic's first four issues will be compiled into one $9.95 volume set to hit comic book stores on April 6, 2004.

This will surely be available from Amazon.com also in case you can't get to a comic book store. It is unknown if the trade paperback will include the interviews and episode guide that are included with the regular bimonthly comic.

Episode #3-6 Definitely "Relic"
Many of us have e-mailed us asking if the title for Smallville Episode #3-6, which aired earlier in November, was indeed called "Relic" or if it is "1961," as it is referred to on TheWB.com.

We are told that the episode's title is most definitely "Relic." "1961" was apparently a title that landed on the promotions and somehow found its way to the WB database. Now you know! And knowing is half the battle.

Annette O'Toole and Michael McKean on the Radio!

Mark Verheiden To Write New Dark Shadows Pilot For The WB
Special thanks to: The Futon Critic

Smallville writer and producer Mark Verheiden ("X-Ray," "Rogue," "Heat," "Perry") will be working on the retelling of another famous story soon.

Verheiden has been tapped to write the pilot for a WB remake of the classic vampire/gothic soap opera Dark Shadows. The original Shadows ran daily on ABC from 1966-1971 and introduced the world to vampire Barnabas Collins and a group of characters that are still memorable to this day. An attempt to remake the show was done before in 1991 but unfortunately got lost in the TV schedule.

The WB is "reportedly close to making a pilot commitment," according to The Futon Critic. Congratulations to Mr. Verheiden on getting to write for this exciting-sounding project.

Blast From The Past!
KryptonSite came across a photo that might be of interest to Smallville fans...

In 1983, Christopher Reeve (later to be Smallville's Dr. Swann) played Clark Kent and Annette O'Toole (later to play Clark's mother, Martha) played Lana Lang in the movie "Superman III."

Here you can find a photo of the two of them in their classic roles, with Reeve geeking it up as the bumbling Clark and Annette adding her special touch to being Lana. It'll hopefully be the first image of what may be a recurring feature here at K-Site, if you all would like to see it!

McKean in "A Mighty Wind""Perry" In Concert!
Michael McKean
(Perry White) will be among the folks(men) performing this month in "An Evening With A Mighty Wind," a concert featuring the groups from the 2003 film "A Mighty Wind."

The four-show tour features the actors - in character - performing much like McKean has when doing shows as "David St. Hubbins" in "Spinal Tap."

The "Mighty Wind" show is also a treat for Smallville fans as several of the songs were co-written by Clark's mom herself, Annette O'Toole (who also happens to be Mr. McKean's wife).
